LORD ACCELERATOR 19GB

Main features

  • Integrated 0.01 in (0.025 cm) Glass Beads
  • Room-Temperature Curing Paste Material
  • Non-Flammable Application Formulation

Product Description

LORD® Accelerator 19GB is a mix-in curative designed for use with LORD® 200, 400 and 500 Series acrylic adhesives to create structural adhesive systems for bonding a variety of prepared or unprepared metals and plastics. The 19GB formulation incorporates 0.01 in (0.025 cm) glass beads to provide precise adhesive bondline thickness control while maintaining the room-temperature curing characteristics of compatible LORD acrylic adhesive systems. It also contributes to improved high-temperature resistance and environmental durability when used with compatible adhesives.

Key Features

  • Mix-in curative for LORD® 200, 400 and 500 Series acrylic adhesives.
  • Integrated 0.01 in (0.025 cm) glass beads provide controlled bondline thickness.
  • Supports room-temperature cure when used with compatible LORD® acrylic adhesives.
  • Contains no solvent, is non-flammable and virtually odorless.
  • Improves the high-temperature resistance of compatible LORD® acrylic adhesive systems.
  • Provides resistance to common environmental conditions when used with compatible LORD® acrylic adhesives.

Suitable For

  • LORD® 200 Series acrylic adhesive systems
  • LORD® 400 Series acrylic adhesive systems
  • LORD® 500 Series acrylic adhesive systems
  • Bonding prepared or unprepared metals

Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application
100,000 - 400,000 mPa.s
Thermal Properties
Flash Point
The flashpoint of a solvent is the lowest possible temperature at which it can vaporize to form an ignitable vapor. Flashpoint is often confused with “autoignition temperature”, which is the temperature at which a solvent ignites without an ignition source.
>93 °C
