  • Silver-Filled Coating Application
  • Low-Resistance Coating Application
  • No Primer or Topcoat Required

Product Description

LOCTITE® EDAG 1415M E&C is a silver-filled thermoplastic conductive coating developed to provide electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and EMI shielding protection for electronic equipment enclosures. The coating is compatible with many engineering plastics and delivers low surface resistance, high attenuation performance, and excellent environmental durability without requiring a primer or top coat. It can be applied by spray or brush and air dries rapidly for efficient production processing.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Silver-filled thermoplastic conductive coating.
  • Designed for EMC and EMI shielding applications.
  • Maintains low resistance after environmental exposure.
  • No primer or top coat required.
  • Suitable for spray or brush application.
  • Fast air-dry processing with optional forced drying.
  • Compatible with plastics used in electronic enclosures.

Recommended Applications

  • EMI shielding of plastic electronic housings.
  • EMC compliance coatings.
  • Electronic equipment enclosures.
  • Conductive coating applications requiring low resistance.

Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application

Thermal Properties
Flash Point
The flashpoint of a solvent is the lowest possible temperature at which it can vaporize to form an ignitable vapor. Flashpoint is often confused with “autoignition temperature”, which is the temperature at which a solvent ignites without an ignition source.
