LOCTITE EA 9017

Main features

  • Premeasured Resin-Hardener Pack
  • Fast 4-6-Minute Handling
  • Machinable Cured Epoxy Finish

Product Description

LOCTITE EA 9017 is a two-component, room-temperature-curing epoxy adhesive supplied in a premeasured syringe pack for permanent bonding and repair. The clear water-white-to-amber liquid reaches handling strength in 4 to 6 minutes and full cure in 45 to 60 minutes. It bonds metals, ceramics, concrete, wood, glass and most plastics, while the cured material can be drilled, tapped, sanded, machined and painted. Applications include production, maintenance and prototype bonding, plus filling and sealing holes, cracks and worn surfaces.

Key features

  • Premeasured syringe pack: Resin and hardener are supplied in measured quantities for consistent mixing and application.
  • Fast handling and cure: Handling strength develops in 4 to 6 minutes, with full cure in 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Machinable cured epoxy: The cured material can be drilled, tapped, sanded, machined and painted.

Applications

Applications include bonding metals, ceramics, concrete, wood, glass and most plastics, plus repairing, filling and sealing holes, cracks and worn surfaces.

Technical Specifications

General Properties
Appearance
Appearance at room temperature.
Clear water white to amber liquid / Translucent
Specific Gravity
Specific gravity (SG) is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance; equivalently, it is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the mass of a reference substance for the same given volume. For liquids, the reference substance is almost always water (1), while for gases, it is air (1.18) at room temperature. Specific gravity is unitless.
1.13 - 1.17
Thermal Properties
Flash Point
The flashpoint of a solvent is the lowest possible temperature at which it can vaporize to form an ignitable vapor. Flashpoint is often confused with “autoignition temperature”, which is the temperature at which a solvent ignites without an ignition source.
>93 °C
