LOCTITE AA 3525

Main features

  • Rapid Cure Speed
  • Clear, Colorless Bondline
  • Good Moisture and Humidity Resistance

Product Description

LOCTITE® AA 3525™ is a one-component, UV/visible light-curing modified acrylic adhesive developed for high-speed bonding applications requiring clear, durable and flexible bond lines. The product rapidly cures upon exposure to ultraviolet or visible light, forming transparent bonds with excellent toughness, flexibility and resistance to moisture exposure. It is designed for bonding glass, metals and plastics in industrial assembly operations and is also used in electric motor balancing applications where fast curing and reliable long-term performance are essential.

Key Features & Benefits

  • UV and visible light-curing modified acrylic adhesive.
  • Rapid cure speed for high-volume manufacturing.
  • Forms clear, colorless bond lines after curing.
  • Excellent flexibility, toughness and impact resistance.
  • Good moisture and humidity resistance.
  • One-component system requiring no mixing.
  • Suitable for glass, metal and plastic bonding applications.

Recommended Applications

  • Glass-to-glass and glass-to-metal bonding.
  • Industrial plastic and metal assembly.

Specific Gravity
Specific gravity (SG) is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance; equivalently, it is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the mass of a reference substance for the same given volume. For liquids, the reference substance is almost always water (1), while for gases, it is air (1.18) at room temperature. Specific gravity is unitless.

Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application
