ELANTAS TU-6090

Main features

  • Equal-Volume Two-Part Mixing
  • Fifteen-to-Twenty-Minute Work Life
  • Shore A 90 Tooling Elastomer

Product Description

CONATHANE TU-6090 Two-Component Polyurethane Casting System is an unfilled, 100% solids two-component polyurethane tooling elastomer for casting flexible parts. Part A and Part B are mixed at 100/50 by weight or volume, producing a typical mixed viscosity of 3,100 cP at 25 deg C and a 15 to 20 minute work life. The system cures for 7 to 10 days at 25 deg C or 16 hours at 60 deg C. The cured elastomer reaches Shore A 90 hardness, 2,850 psi tensile strength, and 335% elongation.

Key features

  • Equal Weight-or-Volume Ratio: The 100/50 mix ratio applies by weight and by volume.
  • Fifteen-to-Twenty-Minute Work Life: The mixed system has a typical 15 to 20 minute processing window at 25 deg C.
  • Shore A 90 Elastomer: The cured tooling elastomer combines Shore A 90 hardness with 335% elongation.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Industrial wheels and rolls
  • Metal-forming pads and flexible molds
  • Washers, gaskets, bushings, and vibration-dampening pads

Elongation
Elongation is the process of lengthening something. It is a percentage that measures the initial, unstressed, length compared to the length of the material right before it breaks. It is commonly referred to as Ultimate Elongation or Tensile Elongation at break.
