Main features

  • Dual-cure capability
  • High-viscosity gel formulation
  • Fast processing

Product Description

Dymax Multi-Cure® 9-911-REV-A is a light-curable wire-tacking adhesive formulated for printed circuit board repair, jumper-wire bonding, and wire stabilization applications. This acrylated urethane adhesive cures rapidly upon exposure to UV and visible light and incorporates a secondary heat-cure capability for shadowed areas where light exposure is limited. Its high-viscosity gel consistency helps maintain wire placement and coverage during assembly and repair processes. The material is solvent-free, blue fluorescing for visual inspection, and compatible with Dymax conformal coating systems used in electronic assembly environments.

Key features

  • Dual-cure capability: UV/visible light cure combined with secondary heat cure supports processing in shadowed areas.
  • High-viscosity gel formulation: Nominal viscosity of 36,000 cP helps maintain wire position and provides controlled coverage during PCB repair.
  • Fast processing: Achieves fixture times as low as 1 second under appropriate Dymax curing systems.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Wire tacking on printed circuit boards
  • Bonding jumper wires
  • PCB repair operations
  • Electronic assembly applications requiring UV/visible light curing
  • Applications with limited light access using secondary heat cure

Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application

Mechanical Properties
Elongation
Elongation is the process of lengthening something. It is a percentage that measures the initial, unstressed, length compared to the length of the material right before it breaks. It is commonly referred to as Ultimate Elongation or Tensile Elongation at break.
