Main features

  • Jet-Dispensable Plastic Assembly
  • Thixotropic Gel Placement
  • Low-Stress Bonding and Sealing

Product Description

Dymax 3094-GEL-REV-A Low-Stress Plastic Bonder is a UV- and visible-light-curable acrylated urethane adhesive developed for low-stress plastic bonding and sealing. The thixotropic gel is suitable for jet dispensing and retains a controlled bead after placement on small or complex parts. It bonds liquid-crystal polymer, polycarbonate, polyurethane, and polystyrene within the supported substrate range. The formulation is used in CCM assembly, appliance assembly, and other plastic component applications where a flexible bondline and targeted application are important. Its combination of jet-friendly rheology and light cure supports precise, production-oriented plastic assembly.

Key features

  • Jet-ready thixotropic rheology: The gel is suitable for controlled jet dispensing on small or complex parts.
  • Low-stress plastic joints: The cured adhesive is intended for flexible plastic bonding and sealing.
  • Targeted light activation: UV and visible light cure supports localized processing on exposed bond areas.

Applications / Suitable for

  • CCM assembly
  • Plastic component assembly
  • Household appliance assembly

Refractive index
The refractive index determines how much the path of light is bent, or refracted, when entering a material. It is calculated by taking into account the velocity of light in vacuum compared to the velocity of light in the material. The refractive index calculation can be affected by the wavelength of light and the temperature of the material. Even though it is usually reported on standard wavelengths it is advised to check the TDS for the precise test parameters.

Thermal Properties
Glass Transition Temperature (Tg)
The glass transition temperature for organic adhesives is a temperature region where the polymers change from glassy and brittle to soft and rubbery. Increasing the temperature further continues the softening process as the viscosity drops too. Temperatures between the glass transition temperature and below the decomposition point of the adhesive are the best region for bonding. The glass-transition temperature Tg of a material characterizes the range of temperatures over which this glass transition occurs.
