  • 1:1 Optical Encapsulant Mixing
  • 100% Transparent Optical Protection
  • 240-Minute 150 deg C Cure

Product Description

DuPont Duroptix™ OE-6370 HF Optical Encapsulant is a colorless, two-part 1:1 mix silicone elastomer designed for LED encapsulation and overmolding applications. Based on a polydimethylsiloxane chemistry, this optical encapsulant combines high transparency, thermal stability, moisture resistance, and adhesion to commonly used LED substrates. The material provides excellent optical clarity with 100% transparency at 450 nm through a 1 mm sample thickness and is formulated to withstand the thermal demands associated with modern LED manufacturing processes. Its fast-curing characteristics and compatibility with standard dispensing and molding equipment support efficient production workflows for LED packaging and protection.

Key features

  • High optical transparency: Delivers 100% transparency at 450 nm (1 mm thickness) for light-transmission-critical LED applications.
  • Fast heat cure: Achieves cure in approximately 240 minutes at 150°C, supporting efficient LED encapsulation processes.
  • Thermally stable silicone elastomer: Provides durability across demanding operating environments and LED package thermal cycles.

Applications / Suitable for

  • LED encapsulation
  • LED package protection
  • Optical encapsulant applications
  • Overmolding processes

Refractive index
The refractive index determines how much the path of light is bent, or refracted, when entering a material. It is calculated by taking into account the velocity of light in vacuum compared to the velocity of light in the material. The refractive index calculation can be affected by the wavelength of light and the temperature of the material. Even though it is usually reported on standard wavelengths it is advised to check the TDS for the precise test parameters.
