COOLTHERM EP 6972 KIT

Main features

  • <0.0005 ohm-cm Volume Resistivity
  • 2.13 W/(m K) Thermal Conductivity
  • 1:1 Weight Mixing

Product Description

CoolTherm EP-6972 Conductive Adhesive is a two-part, silver-filled epoxy adhesive for electrically and thermally conductive bonding. Resin and hardener mix 1:1 by weight for manual or automatic meter/mix/dispense application. Cure schedules are 40 minutes at 85 deg C or 20 minutes at 100 deg C after the material reaches the target temperature. Typical cured properties include volume resistivity below 0.0005 ohm-cm and thermal conductivity of 2.13 W/(m K). The stated service-temperature range is -50 to +150 deg C.

Key features

  • Cured volume resistivity: Typical cured value is below 0.0005 ohm-cm at 25 deg C using ASTM D257.
  • Cured thermal conductivity: Typical cured thermal conductivity is 2.13 W/(m K).
  • Equal-ratio weight mixing: Resin and hardener mix 1:1 by weight before application.

Applications

General circuit board repair; conductive bonding where electrical and thermal conductivity are required.

Specific Gravity
Specific gravity (SG) is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance; equivalently, it is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the mass of a reference substance for the same given volume. For liquids, the reference substance is almost always water (1), while for gases, it is air (1.18) at room temperature. Specific gravity is unitless.
