Main features

  • 0.0003 ohm-cm Volume Resistivity
  • 5.17 N/mm^2 Aluminum Lap Shear
  • Flexible Cured Adhesive

Product Description

LOCTITE® ABLESTIK CF 3366 is a silver-filled epoxy film adhesive formulated for electrical, thermal, and mechanical assembly applications. The gray-tan film has a documented thickness of 102 µm and is suitable for bonding copper, brass, Kovar, and aluminum in fluoropolymer circuits, ceramic circuits, metal backplanes, and heat-sink assemblies. It combines electrical and thermal conductivity with flexible adhesion, uniform bondline control, and low-temperature heat-cure options. Guideline cure schedules are 60 minutes at 150°C or 120 minutes at 125°C under 10 to 60 psi pressure.

Key features

  • High electrical conductivity: Typical cured volume resistivity is 0.0003 ohm-cm at 25°C.
  • Elevated-temperature adhesion: Aluminum-to-aluminum tensile lap shear strength is reported as 12 N/mm² at 25°C and 5.17 N/mm² at 150°C.
  • Controlled film bonding: The 102 µm film supports uniform bondline adhesion, flexible bonding, and customer-specific preforms.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Fluoropolymer circuits
  • Ceramic circuits
  • Metal backplanes
  • Heat-sink assemblies
  • RF ground-plane bonding

Thermal Properties
Glass Transition Temperature (Tg)
The glass transition temperature for organic adhesives is a temperature region where the polymers change from glassy and brittle to soft and rubbery. Increasing the temperature further continues the softening process as the viscosity drops too. Temperatures between the glass transition temperature and below the decomposition point of the adhesive are the best region for bonding. The glass-transition temperature Tg of a material characterizes the range of temperatures over which this glass transition occurs.

Electrical Properties
Volume Resistivity
Volume resistivity, also called volume resistance, bulk resistance or bulk resistivity is a thickness dependent measurement of the resistivity of a material perpendicular to the plane of the surface.
0.0003 Ohms⋅cm
