3M DP100NS

Main features

  • 15 to 20-Minute Working Window
  • Paste Consistency for Bonding
  • Machinable Cured Bonding

Product Description

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP100NS Translucent is a fast-curing, two-part structural epoxy adhesive designed to deliver robust bonding and excellent post-cure machinability. Formulated with a non-sag paste consistency, it ensures precise application without dripping or running on vertical surfaces. This translucent adhesive provides reliable overlap shear strength across a variety of substrates, including metals, plastics, and fiberglass-reinforced plastics.

Key features

  • Fast cure and non-sag: Provides a convenient 5-minute work life and sets rapidly in 15-20 minutes, with a non-sag formula that prevents run-off.
  • Simple mixing: Features an easy 1:1 mix ratio by volume for accurate and consistent dispensing.
  • Excellent machinability: Cures to a firm, rigid finish (82 Shore D hardness) that can be easily machined after curing.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Structural bonding of metals, including aluminum, steel, copper, and brass
  • Adhering various plastics such as ABS, PVC, acrylic, and polycarbonate
  • Assemblies requiring fast cure times and post-cure machinability

Work life @25°C
Work life is the amount of time we have to work with a material until it is no longer able to be easily worked and applied on a substrate. It is based on the change in viscosity and it can rely on the application requirements.

Thermal Properties
Glass Transition Temperature (Tg)
The glass transition temperature for organic adhesives is a temperature region where the polymers change from glassy and brittle to soft and rubbery. Increasing the temperature further continues the softening process as the viscosity drops too. Temperatures between the glass transition temperature and below the decomposition point of the adhesive are the best region for bonding. The glass-transition temperature Tg of a material characterizes the range of temperatures over which this glass transition occurs.
34 °C
Electrical Properties
Volume Resistivity
Volume resistivity, also called volume resistance, bulk resistance or bulk resistivity is a thickness dependent measurement of the resistivity of a material perpendicular to the plane of the surface.
