3M 665

Main features

  • Linerless Manual or Automated Dispensing
  • Repositionable Mounting with Clean Removal
  • Hot-Wire Cuttable Plastic Construction

Product Description

3M Removable Repositionable Tape 665 is a linerless, clear double-coated tape for light-duty bonding where parts need to be repositioned or removed. It combines Acrylic Adhesive 400 on the face side with Repositionable Acrylic Adhesive 1070 on the backside of a 0.036 mm UPVC film carrier. The linerless construction simplifies manual or automatic dispensing, while the carrier permits one-piece tape removal from many surfaces. Its all-plastic construction can also be hot-wire cut for foam and plastic packaging, giving the tape a practical processing option for temporary and changeable mounting assemblies.

Key features

  • Linerless dispensing: Tape 665 needs no liner-removal step, simplifying manual or automatic dispensing.
  • Differential acrylic adhesion: Adhesive 400 and Adhesive 1070 provide a higher-tack face with a repositionable backside for removable mounting.
  • Hot-wire cuttable carrier: The all-plastic UPVC construction is hot-wire cuttable for foam and plastic packaging.

Applications

Applications include reclosable bags and envelopes, removable labels, point-of-purchase displays, temporary protective packaging, and repositionable foam gaskets.
